Regulatory Update (U.S.)

The United States has updated Anti Dumping and Countervailing Duties, affecting many products across the tariff.  Import Control have also been updated.  Changes have been made to certain Other Government Agency Codes (OGA).  The following HTS chapters are affected: 02, 04, 07, 08, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 35 and 90.

Israel has updated HS descriptions, as well as added and deleted records for fish (frozen, excluding fish fillets and other fish meat), locust beans, seaweeds, and other algae.  The following HTS chapters are affected: 03, 12, 15, 16, 39, 63, 76, and 87.

SRI LANKA

There has been a change in Customs Duty for petrol and diesel.  The following HTS chapter is affected: 27.

 

SWITZERLAND

The harmonized tariff schedule has been updated.  Changes to import duty rates and preferential duty rates for various preferential agreements have been made across the tariff.  The following HTS chapters are affected: 07, 10, 11, 15, 17, 18, and 23.

 

MAURITIUS

HTS numbers have been added and removed.  Changes have also been made to HTS descriptions, General duty rates, Excise Tax, VAT, and Preferential duty rates for products classified under certain chapters across the tariff.

ARGENTINA

The 2009 Tariff Schedule for Argentina has been updated.  HTS numbers have been added and deleted.  Existing HTS descriptions have been modified for products classified under certain chapters.  The following HTS chapters are affected: 03, 15, 29, 30, 32, 38, 85, and 90.

 

BRAZIL

Brazil has adjusted duty rates and IPI rates.  HTS numbers have also been added and deleted, affecting certain chapters across the tariff.

Oil PlatformImport regulations for Argentina have been updated.  New import certificate requirements have been established for lighters.  Tariff rate quotas have been eliminated on oil and paper.  The following HTS chapters are affected: 15, 48, and 96.
