US Export Controls

Two typographical errors that appeared in a rule published on June 4 have been corrected.  One error is in the License Requirements section of Export Control Classification Number 2B001, and the other is in the Technical Note on Adjusted Peak Performance (“APP”) found at the end of Category 4 on the Commerce Control List.  The following ECN category is affected: 02.

 

US Anti Dumping and Countervailing Duties

Changes have been made to many products across the Tariff.  The Import Controls affected by this update are Anti Dumping and Countervailing Duties.

1. The US has made changes to its import controls, specifically Anti Dumping and Countervailing duties.  This update affects many products across the tariff.

2. The US Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has issued an update to the Lacey Act.  Certain HS numbers have been added.  The following HTS chapters are affected: 44, 66, 82, 92, 93, 94, 95 and 97.

Australia has repealed anti-dumping duties on certain silicon from China and certain galvanized steel pipes from Thailand.  It has also added import control (import permit) on tablet presses.  The following HTS chapters are affected: 28, 73 and 84.

Regulatory Update (U.S.)

The United States has updated Anti Dumping and Countervailing Duties, affecting many products across the tariff.  Import Control have also been updated.  Changes have been made to certain Other Government Agency Codes (OGA).  The following HTS chapters are affected: 02, 04, 07, 08, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 35 and 90.

Regulatory Update (Chile)

Import regulations for Chile have been updated.  New anti-dumping duties on powdered milk and Gouda cheese have been established.  Import requirements for dangerous substances classified throughout the tariff schedule have been modified.  The following HTS chapter is affected: 04.

Regulatory Update (Canada)

Canada has updated its Import Controls.  Several products’ Anti-dumping and Countervailing duties have changed.  The following HTS chapters are affected: 17, 44, 72, 73, 76, 84, 87 and 94.

Argentina has made updates to its import regulations.  New import certificate requirements have been created.  New anti-dumping duties on coloring materials have been established.  The following HTS chapters are affected: 32 and 84.

Brazil

Brazil has added a Tariff Rate Quota.  The products affected by this are oseltamivir phosphate and medicines based on oseltamivir phosphate.  The following HTS chapters are affected: 29 and 30.
